UNIHA is designing and building a treatment plant for well water from a complex hydrogeological environment.
The raw water from the well field is fed to the inlet chamber and split into two parallel aeration-coagulation/flocculation-sedimentation streams. By aeration, the Oxygen concentration in the water is increased and Methane and Hydrogen Sulfide are stripped from the raw water.
The sedimentation supernatant is pumped to the pressurized dual media filters for Ammonia as well as organic matter removal.
The filtrate is passed through Reverse Osmosis for final Boron and Sodium removal. The product is collected in the clear water tanks. From there, it is pumped to the network towards consumers. Excess sludge from the sedimentation sludge buffer and sludge from the backwash is thickened and dewatered.
