The UNIHA pilot plant is designed to treat 1m³/h raw water. The raw water is taken from the intake system and is fed to a 10m³ raw water tank.
From the raw water tank, the raw water is pumped either to the Rapid Reaction Tank, or the Slow Reaction Tank or the Aeration Tank. The Reaction Tanks are equipped with mechanical mixers, the Aeration Tank is equipped with an air blower and coarse bubble diffusers.
Upstream these reaction tanks, the water can be dosed with a miscellaneous mixture of Hypochlorite, Ozone and Coagulant.
From the tanks, the water flows to the Lamella Decanter by gravity. The clear water overflows to the Filter Buffer Tank, the sludge is released from the Decanter bottom.
From the Filter Buffer Tank, the water is pumped either to the Sand Filter (pressurized type) or an Ultrafilter (pressurized multibore type). Both filters can be backwashed with a backwash pump, taking water from the RO Buffer Tank.
The Sand/Ultrafilter filtrate is passed through an Activated Carbon Filter (pressurized type), its filtrate is forwarded to the RO Buffer Tank.
From the RO Buffer Tank, the water is pumped towards RO with a RO feed pump. The water is passed through a fine filter, then it is pressurized for RO treatment with a high-pressure pump. The RO is equipped with a flushing system
