Empowering Water Purity
At clarification, the suspended matter in a feed stream is separated based on differences in mass density.
The treatment target can be the production of a clear phase with minimum solid matter concentration, or the production of a thick phase with maximum solid matter concentration – or both combined. Chemical conditioning of the feed e.g. by coagulation and flocculation can increase the separation efficiency.
Our Clarification Technologies
Clarification can be accomplished by several solid-liquid separation methods.
Decanter (Lamella, Scraper)
Decanter are used to remove suspended solids by sedimentation, in order to produce a clarify a water stream. Decanter are built as rectangular or circular basins, in most cases with scraping units to improve the sediment collection. Lamella plates or tubes can be used reduce the unit footprint.
Thickener
Thickener are used to produce a stream with maximum solid content. Thickener are built as rectangular or circular basins, in most cases with scraping units to improve the thickening process.
Dissolved Air Flotation
At dissolved air flotation, small air bubbles are added to the water to be clarified. Suspended solids attach to those bubbles and float to the surface and can be skimmed off.
Dewatering
At dewatering, the dry matter content of a process stream is maximized. Our technologies comprise centrifuge, screw, filter chamber press and textile bag.
