Seawater desalination plants for islands

UNIHA Seawater desalination plants for islands

UNIHA supplied a seawater desalination plant for drinking water production on an island setting in the Atlantic Ocean.

The intake was constructed from four beach wells, from where raw water is pumped to a reverse osmosis plant with multimedia filtration pretreatment. The plant has been designed according to the special needs and requirements of the client, including three treated water reservoirs with 1,500 m³ each.

This EPC+F project included not only the design & supply of the entire water treatment plant but also civil works, the well intake, piping, tanks and pumping stations including supply for a nearby located power plant.
